She was converted at a cost of over 700k in 2008, and has been let as multi occupancy rentals until around 3 years ago. Her hull has been renewed following an out of water survey. She is currently moored in the Royal Docks, London.

MFV Jasmine (BA 55 + CN110)
Built in 1958, by Alexander Noble’s yard in Girvan, Scotland, Jasmine is a 54.5 ft long, 16ft beam fishing boat built for ring-netting herring. A seaworthy vessel last surveyed in 2014. When she was decommissioned she was used by a wildlife trust to run trips whale and dolphin watching.

The boat is a Schatt Harding MCB28 fully enclosed, self-righting lifeboat and is fitted with a SABB Lister L3.139 LB 3 cylinder engine which has been used for less than 20 hours in total !
Dimensions are 8.5 x 3.5 x 4.5 metres (LxWxH)
Changes in regulations has forced a lot of oil companies to change their lifeboats for larger capacity vessels.
The boat when new was worth well in excess of £120,000 and was fully kitted with seating for 60 persons, with an external water curtain and internal pressurized air system plus survival provisions.
