For sale is my beautiful liveaboard boat, Florence. 52ft Semi-trad built 1992 by Dave Clark, powered by a fairly new Beta Marine 38hp inboard diesel engine. We’ve done extensive work on her over the 6 years we’ve owned her, and she really is perfectly built to be a liveaboard.
She is currently lying at Brentford Island moorings, west London. The mooring can be bought once we leave, but will need to be agreed with the mooring manager.
She has been extended at the front by 4ft to have a very large stainless steel water tank added. Boat comes with extra air and fuel filters for engine, anchor, 5-10 windlasses, coach paint that matches current paint job, and many other items that a boater needs!
Engine was installed in around 2011 and only has 1477 hours on it. I acquired the boat with 1100 miles on it.
From the stern is the uncovered engine bay with access to the batteries etc. Moving forward inside the boat is the bedroom, comprising of permanently fixed double bed, under which is the immersion heater, pump out tank and ample storage. Towards the back is a newly refurbished Alde heater that does the central heating throughout the boat via 3 radiators. This area also has cupboard units and some shelving. It has a central heating radiator on the starboard side.
The bathroom is next which is split into two rooms on the port side, and to the starboard side is a large built-in cupboard and drawers. The toilet is a drop-through pump out with a huge holding tank, and a small basin with storage underneath.
Further along is the shower room with a shower cubicle and it incorporates another hand wash basin.
Next is the galley which has units running port & starboard, full Vanette gas cooker and a 4-ring gas hob, 12v fridge, plastic sink with tiled splash-back. It has shelving, ample storage & work-top space.
Moving forward again is the main cabin which is open plan, currently with a large L shaped settee, variety of shelving and storage, a Salamander Hobbit multi fuel stove, and two Desmo leg tables that can be stored away easily.
Florence’s interior as you can see from the photos is a little dated, but the built quality is faultless. Every feature makes total use of the space and allows for maximum storage.
The fuel tank capacity is around 120 litres.
She has a BSC which is valid until 2023. There was just one previous owner before me, all paperwork for all work that’s been done since she was made is also included.
The last survey was October 2015 and available to view, all points on the survey have been addressed, and I’ve listed below the various works that I have had done on her for the past 6 years. As you can see she has been cared for meticulously!
