'Harlequin' undertook a full refit, whilst the owners had the boat out of the water in 2018/19 they had the weed hatch removed as it was showing signs of rust and professionally re-welded as well as some old skin fittings professionally welded over. The hull was professionally shot-blasted and 7 coats of epoxy primer applied from the gunwales down. The topsides were sanded, primed and painted. The hull was blacked in 2019 prior to re-launch. Harlequin was signwritten and all paint was professional marine paint. The boat is currently moored at Highway Marine, Sandwich. Mooring fees paid up to March 2021 with option to renew. Annual mooring fee approx. £3,000. Shore plug-in power with pre-paid electric cards available from Marina office. Water supply on mooring. The mooring benefits from safe access and a pleasant view. The mooring is in a saught after location, a minutes walk from sandwich town which has good transport links to London. The town itself is a picturesque medieval town with plenty of pubs and restaurants. The sea is approximately 5 miles down river and upstream you can adventure as far as Fordwich approx 20 miles away.

Accommodation & Below Deck:
The wheelhouse offers a dry space for when you arrive home, there is plenty of storage for shoes and coats, a bike also fits and the current owners keep their washer/dryer here. The engine bay is below which is accessed via 2 large hatches. There is a large shelf which provides extra storage. You enter the boat on the port side down a bespoke set of steps which double up as storage - housing 3 large drawers. (New 2019). To the port is a small cupboard where the manual bilge pump is housed. The main space is a modern, open plan kitchen and living space. The newly fitted kitchen boasts a domestic ¾ fridge freezer, double butler sink with tiled splashback and solid oak worktop. Matching oak shelves above the sink offer further storage. Underneath the sink is a double cupboard which extends underneath the worktop creating a big storage area. Along the starboard side is an undercounter 6 drawer unit which holds most of the kitchen equipment and next to this is a domestic electric oven. Above a 2 ring propane burner hob with hanging storage for pots and pans on the wall. The kitchen was all new and fitted in 2019 including applicances. Continuing on the starboard side there is further built in shelving (currently used for cook books, microwave, kettle, slow cooker and fruit bowl). Plenty of space for everything you need to live a comfortable lifestyle onboard. The owners currently have a small kitchen table and chairs (not included) and a 2 seater futon company sofa bed (included) which completes the living room. Behind the sofa on the port side is a large double shelf which runs the length of the living space and can accommodate over 200 books. Underneath the bookshelf are 2 slimline radiators boxed in for neatness. A further large radiator is installed on the far wall. The flooring is solid dark bamboo and continues throughout the boat. Entering the hallway the clothes storage begins. There are 6 deep lockers here which open outwards and give lots of space for extra bits. To starboard you enter the spare/bath/study room which the current owners have been using as a nursery. The bath is hidden underneath a box bench seat with storage cupboard behind. Again the radiator is under a cover and the floor is bamboo. This room is a flexible space and can be adapted to the new owners requirements. The current owners previously used it as a large hanging space with the bath open but there is potential to convert to office space or spare room. From here you enter the shower/toilet room which boasts a full size shower tray, mixer shower and victorian hand basin. The room was fully aquapanel-ed, tanked and professionally tiled in 2018. The toilet is a thetford chemical toilet (not included - might be nice to get your own!). Re-entering the hallway you continue through the boat to the bedroom. With his & her hanging lockers to port and a deep chest locker for further clothes storage. The built in full double bed is on the starboard side. Underneath is a 400 litre water tank (new 2018) and also further storage at the foot and side of the bed. There is space for a full length mirror and bedside table. At the foot of the bed is the multi fuel stove (Boatman new 2018) and a writing desk and chair. Both of these elements really add a level of comfort and luxury to the boat and putting a log on the stove from the bed is a romance not many households can enjoy. To the starboard side of the bed there are a further 3 chest lockers. Blackout blinds to 5 windows included. At the front of the boat, from the bedroom, is a door to the well deck which has 2 seats and some outdoor storage. This is a great place to enjoy a coffee at the beginning of the day or a glass of wine as the sun goes down. Forward of this there is an old gas locker which provides a large storage area. For the current owners it was important to make the boat as homely and easy as possible, therefore they have installed a new electric ring main with sockets in all the spaces necessary. Also installing new lighting system throughout with 240v feature lights and 12v ceiling spotlights. Alongside a new water system including water pump, tank and Morco f11el gas boiler. This supplies hot water to all the taps on demand. In the engine bay a brand new webasto diesel fueled heater with timer has been semi-installed, to supply the 5 radiators onboard (3 in the living room/kitchen, 1 in the bathroom 1 in the bedroom). Radiators and pipework all fitted. Alongside the multifuel stove, the Webasto was added to ensure boat can be kept warm throughout the winter, with heating on a timer. Furthermore the boat benefitted from a total overhaul on insulation, replacing all the old polystyrene with 25mm celotex wherever possible especially in the ceiling and floors throughout. The ceiling is all new and the 18mm subfloor and solid wood bamboo flooring is all new 2019. The roof of the boat has been used as a vegetable garden by the current owners and they have two folding Thai kapok cushions (included) which transform it into a comfortable lounging space during the summer months.
