Description

Moonraker is a very spacious & comfortable all steel narrowboat, with a good head height of 6’3” and set up for living aboard. She has benefitted from a recent repaint on the outside and an extensive modern refurb on the inside. The steel speck is 10/6/4. All of the interior sub-floors have been replaced with 18mm marine ply and Quickstep Waterproof laminate flooring has been laid throughout. There are new 12v chrome switched Led ceiling light fittings throughout the boat and new chrome vents.

Entry from the bow is via a steel door past a useful cloakroom & storage area, into the open plan saloon & kitchen, which has an oak worktop and breakfast bar, a new lpg free standing cooker and space for a fridge.

Heating
Heating is via a 5kw Morso Squirrel multi fuel stove.

There are 2 side hatches on either side of the kitchen area. Windows throughout are gold anodised hopper style, with either curtains or blinds.

Bedroom 1 which has a 3ft single bunk accessed by a ladder, is off the kitchen. There is plenty of room underneath the bunk to either fit another bunk or to use as a storage or play area.

The master bedroom has a fixed 4ft double bed, with drawers underneath + storage space. The Calorifier, supplying the boat with hot water is situated in a cupboard at the end of the bedroom. This also houses the Mastervolt AC 1500w pure sine wave inverter and the changeover switch to shoreline power. There is also a solar controller in there. and the circuit breaker board.
There is a double skin folding door separating the bedroom from the bathroom.

The bathroom has a thetford 200c cassette flushing toilet with 3 x cassettes, a good sized shower cubicle and a vanity unit with a basin.

Exit to the stern & cruiser deck is beyond the bathroom.

Moonraker has a huge water tank 1000L + There are 2 x 12v Water pumps for the hot and cold, with a Jabasco 5L accumulator tank. Water is heated by the engine and stored in a 50L Calorifier tank. There is a charcoal water filter fitted in the kitchen on the cold feed.

Outside, the cruiser deck boards have all been replaced with new buffalo board and there is a new automatic bilge in the engine bay.

The engine which has recently been serviced and had a new head gasket fitted is a Keel cooled BMC 1800

Moonraker’s exterior has been completely repainted In Oxford Blue & Sky Blue.

She has recently been out of the water and had all necessary works completed to the highest standard.
New shoe plates have been welded on both sides and a port side swim footing plate.
The Rudder blade has been straightened and a new rudder skeg cup and 50mm top Warstock bearing has been fitted. The front fender loop on the bow stem post was also replaced.

The hull sides were pressure washed and 2 coats of SML Ballistic Black Bitumen applied. 4 x 2.5kg anodes were also fitted, bringing the total to 6

There is a new BSC valid until October 2024

There are 400w of solar panels on the roof, sitting on storage boxes.

There are new fenders (Turks Head) bow and (Button) stern

Moonraker is ready to move onto and cruise immediately.

We are planning to arrange viewings for the weekend of 9th & 10th January 2021.
